What personal data is collected and why

Data requested on the site and purpose of treatment.

Name and e-mail in the contact forms: to make any direct contact with Couto S.A., either to ask questions, comments, suggestions, request a service or product or any other information. Not providing the minimum personal data necessary will make it impossible for Couto S.A. to answer the request.

Name, surname, address, telephone number, email: this information will be requested at the time of purchase in order to process the request.

Name and email address of the bulletin: with the express and voluntary consent of the owner of the data, the minimum information necessary to send an automated commercial bulletin on the site, where you will be informed about advertising, promotions and other information on the services. and/or products offered by Couto S.A. will be requested.

E-mail: the e-mail will be requested to access the customer area, according to the data provided at the time of account creation.

Contact forms

The site has 3 types of forms:

Contact forms: The user, buyer or participant can find forms that will facilitate communication with Couto S.A., to clarify doubts, comments, request a quotation, reserve any of the services offered on the site or demand any rights they have. Failure to provide the minimum personal data required will make it impossible for Couto S.A. to respond to the request. This treatment will be considered legitimate because it is part of a pre-contractual diligence. Couto S.A.’s website and the email server will be responsible for the treatment.

Of advertising: Users, buyers or participants must give their express and voluntary consent to deliver to Couto S.A. the minimum necessary data to send advertising and commercial information related to services and/or products offered by Couto S.A., to be added to an automated e-mail marketing file managed by the person responsible for the treatment indicated below. The treatment of personal data found in this section has been done with the consent of the data owner.

Processing of orders: We will ask users, buyers or participants the necessary data so that Couto S.A. can process orders according to their purchases. Legitimate treatment of personal data due to the existing contractual relationship with the buyer or participant. The data will be saved on the site’s server.

 

How long your data is retained

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are saved indefinitely. This happens so that you can automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments, instead of putting them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (if any), we save the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their user name). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.

 

What rights do you have to your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an export file with the personal data stored about you, including any personal data you have submitted. At any time and for free, the Customer may send an email to geral@couto.pt requesting the cancellation of the sending of our email’s, sms’s and newsletters and/or other commercial and promotional information of COUTO S.A., after which we will stop treating your personal data for the purposes indicated above.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, approved by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council of 27 April 2016, Customers may, if they wish and at any time, exercise the right to access, amend, update, rectify, erase, forget, delete, limit and portability of their data.

The subsequent withdrawal of consent does not compromise the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of this consent.

Where your data is sent

We transfer or disclose the personal data we collect to third-party service providers (and their subsidiaries and affiliates) who are contracted by us to support our internal ancillary processes. For example, we hire service providers to provide, execute and support our IT infrastructure (such as identity management, hosting, data analysis, backup, security and cloud storage services).

It is our policy to use only third-party service providers who are required to maintain adequate levels of data protection, security and confidentiality, and who comply with any legal requirements applicable to the transfer of personal data outside the jurisdiction in which it was originally collected. For data collected in the EEA or concerning data subjects in the EEA, Couto S.A. requires an appropriate transfer mechanism, as necessary, to comply with applicable legislation.

Mailchimp: used to automate commercial communications and send to the email address of the owner of the data, advertising products and/or services offered on the site. Service performed by The Rocket Science Group LLC, located in the United States of America. Couto S.A. has implemented adequate technical and organizational measures in order to protect personal data against loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. All Couto S.A. employees follow a network security policy. Only Couto S.A.’s authorized collaborators have access to personal data, being these also bound to the duty of secrecy and confidentiality. It is part of Couto S.A. policy to use encrypted https technology to protect the information submitted via internet. This policy applies equally to all agents of our company.
